Go to the crossfire help section, there is a thread stating all of the requirements to use crossfire hacks. The download for the msvcr100.dll is there.

Not working with XP- Is there anyway you could change it so that it does like mamo's hack v9.0 i think it was? Would be great thankyou! - & By not working, CLIENT MFC has encountered a problem and needs to close, everytime I load up and get into lobby. thanks again

You are referring to a D3D menu I presume. Using hot keys is a lot more efficient than D3D menus just because it takes less time to make. Granted, creating the menu is not necessarily hard, but coding the layout just takes lots of time and is tedious.
