In india the gap between rich and poor is huge but she is wrong about NO MIDDLE CLASS, Indian maximum population is belongs to Middle class & about snakes and other creatures, they are only present in hill station/hill states and villages near forest, may be she belongs from there.

Bengali it is, and there is middle class, 63% is middle class in India, including me

Is the caste system still around in India? if it is then that might be cause for some unrest there.

Not really, only in some poor class sections of society, maybe in some very deindustrialized villages.
