Here's what I think :

One of the Kabam's GMs created an account named SwatSec (SwatSecOne?) and tried to kill as many people as possible.
The hopen result was to push out an old backup and a new forum without people complaining about the new design.
They also hopen that people will start to think that Kabam isn't a bad company after all, and there for their customers.

What do you guys think?

Interesting conspiracy theory but I think you're grasping for straws on this one. Not very plausible.

The conspiracy theory is actually plausible because in the end all of the players got their dead characters back and a few free char slots to boot. This means that the people who died actually gained stuff and makes people (The ones who died) like Kabam more

OMG I was thinking the same thing today! I was thinking, maybe Swatsec and Kabam were together and Kabam needed an excuse to look good, so they had players rolled back and extra slots and a new excuse to release new dungeons with new items to appease the players.

you do have a point.. stuff like that does happen. heck if i was in their shoes, i would think outside of the box and pull something like this off. it would be easy to set up, a wonderful distraction is created, i offer a solution with ANY changes i desire, and the players take what they are given! its a win-win!!

i would do it because it works. people are generally, very easily manipulated when they are feeling panic and in a crisis, and they feel very thankful when someone helps them out of the crisis they are placed in, its just human nature.

Someone should email kabam and ask them about it.
If theory is true which I doubt and kabam denies it, they will look horrible and go down.

It's not true. If they wanted to push a new forum, they would have did it without causing temporary damage to the game. It's a stupid theory.
