Black screen problem

Make sure you have all the graphics card drivers installed and are up to date.

Run Ccleaner

if you installed mod-killmarks or anything like that .. or even a program, try unistalling it or refering to the old one

Lol all these people saying reinstall CF, run CCleaner, reinstall windows.... it's clearly something to do with your graphics card/drivers.

Something you could try is right click desktop -> properties -> settings tab -> advanced -> troubleshoot tab and turn hardware acceleration down a bit and keep turning it down and see what happens. CF may not start at all but it's worth a try.

Also you could try reinstall DirectX http://www.microsof*****m/en-nz/downl....aspx?id=34429

Another thing you could try is getting some old drivers (maybe the latest ones have a bug)
