I'm new here =) a mate of mine suggested this is a good place for learning some coding basics and things that can be applied to game hacking. Any suggestions for a beginning would be appreciated. I don't know where to get started.

Ofc it's allowed, but people here just aren't writing tuts. to teach the very basics.

Hacking, by definition, requires you to understand something really well. That's the opposite of "learning the basics."

Your best bet is to read a book. It has better information than you'll get from a crazy person with a blog ; ) Generally*

^^ There are at least 3 other postings extremely similar to yours on the first page of "Coders Lounge" section. Maybe try reading the responses to those. It is a very common question, no?
