Well, almost. Brain science certainly suggested such possibilities, especially as we know that left-handedness and right-handedness and other physical phenomena are linked to specific hemispheric dominance.

So, since we have discovered certain areas of the brain that handle certain concepts and ideas, the theory made sense, and it took off with psychologists. So scientists had a hand in the idea, but it was not their doing only.

But I wouldn't call this experiment a debunking, at least not yet. One experiment failed to find what they expected. All that means is that the mechanism they expected to uncover is probably not the mechanism at work. In time to come, "hemispheric dominance" may not be associated with "more" signal activity, but other distinctions.

And in any case, the model remains useful. It may not be completely accurate, but it conveys certain labels and ideas that help in generalized thinking.

Thank you. Only certain aspects are true, but this test was a waste of time. It said I was 50/50, then said I had 50% on every sub-category under each side. How pointless.
