Well later today i'll have enough ips to buy him and i wanna know how he's best played and a few things about him starting with his lantern when he throws it to a place and how he collects souls with it does he also gain the exp in that area that he would if he himself were there? and how can you best use his Ultimate cause i mean the effect is okay but at the same time it seems kinda useless.. i mean can you walk around while it's active and can you still use your skills? etc?

His lantern will only collect souls, you will need to be in the area like any other champ to get EXP, but you're probably going to be within range to get EXP if you can throw in the lantern anyways. His ultimate slows the fuck out of anyone who hits it, which allows for people to jump on that person easier. Or it could be a good peeler for your ally. And yeah you're free to do anything you want after dropping the ult.

So far with thresh I think I've been pretty good but I've noticed to use him to his best you also need good teammates and I was curious how do u know if your doing good with him? So far every game I've gone about 4/2/20 and I usually save my teammates suite a bit with heals items and my shield on dark passage does but I do love playing with him so far

Also do your allies right or left click the lanturn? And which lane in 5v5 does thresh play? Just curious

Your allies must right click the lantern, an enemy champion can also block the lantern preventing anyone from using it.

Mainly Thresh is a support. Some play him top or ADC, but that's usually if they already know the ins and outs of Thresh. Also someone can tele to your lantern if they have teleport

Thresh is really versatile and my favorite support. I like to build a warmogs lategame, after all my support items and wards are done and just pull myself into the teamfight, ult and slap the shit out of everyone. I also like to play Thresh adc, but if you try it out, bring someone premade with you on botlane. I usually play with a blitzcrank on my lane for maximum overharass.
Thresh adc brings 22-8-0 mastery cause you put one extra point on spellblade (because he stacks ap with passive)

Thresh is mainly played as a support champ. Useful to saving teammates, and starting fights himself. Usually, you press Q to hook the enemy and pull yourself to them if it lands (unless you're team is not in a good position to follow up), next box them with your ult and flay them toward your team (doesn't bring them far, but it's the slow that counts). If you want you can throw the lantern to your team after you hook the enemy to bring the team to you.

I don't agree with the idea a Thresh ADC. Yes I have seen some people play him fairly nicely. He has the box and the flay for self peel, and the lantern to bring allies to you, but his Q is rendered useless imo, except its useful for hard cc, since you can't attack when you hooked someone. Just my opinion.

I see your point although I have to say that thresh adc is really fun to play, and also pretty strong. Early game you get fed by abusing your and your supports CC, and lategame you just autoattack everyone. Thresh on a near-fullbuild level can kill the enemy adc in 2 hits. With the BotRK (+hp% damage), the passive from his E, and the spellblade from mastery page your autoattack is really powerful, not to mention you outrange a few adc's.
Another thing is that thresh stacks armor with his passive too.

True, the armor helps.

You won't be able to play him in rankeds since he's banned almost every game ;d
