Run games faster?
Anyone know any extra ways to make CA or CF or maybe even steam games run faster?
Don't know how, or why your games run slow and cant find a single article out there to help you???
Well the MPGH forum and I are here for you!
These are a the little ones I came up with:
1. Game Crashing? Restart it or Re-Install it
2. Update your graphics cards *VISTA* (START>Right click COMPUTER>Properties>Device Manager>Locate DISPLAY ADAPTERS>open the tab>highlight YOUR Graphics driver>Click the Upgrade button in the bar above (see ss)-blacked out some stoof to protect my comp...
3. Delete some games,programs,folders to speed up your game and reduce lag
4.Install GAMEBOOSTER. Crucial part speeds games up BIG TIME!!!

5.If you don't trust that program you can manually stop processes simply with ctrl+alt+delete
6. Make sure you have a stable/good internet connection
7. If you use hacks restrain to 1 hack at a time
8. Try running the Game(s) in windowed mode. ( Thank you Xxkratosx for this.)
9. Go to start, programs > accessories > disk cleanup > run that > fill all check boxes and continue. Should take around 10-20 minutes.
10. Do the same as before but wen u click accessories, go to disk de-fragmenter. Run that, it should take around 4 hours.
11. Go to CA folder, game, and remove the 4 texture files that are in a straight row.
12. Go to CA folder and bgm, remove the music if you don't like it.
13. Go to start menu, run, type %temp%, run it and delete all files, or delete the ones you can.
14. Go to control panel >internet options > delete > click delete all.
15. Press alt + ctrl + delete, and delete some useless processes.
16. Make sure there are no other applications running.
17. When you are in the lobby click options and set everything to low detail.
18. Restart your computer before playing CA.
19. Play with less people or stay away from a crowd. The more ppl are beside u moving/shooting, the more you lagg. Keep your distance
My goal here is to make this a sticky and get about 20+ ways to make games run faster.
