Placement match 2014

so i heard most of the ppl keep sayin that the placement match will be held in 2014??? is it trueee??

If you read Riot's own post, you would know it's true.

At the moment there's the thing called "Pre-season", where you can still gain elo, you just won't get any more rewards.

The pre-season ends in 2014 January, where the Season 4 will start and then the placement matches will come

what would happen if u dont play for the pre season? will u go down div?

no you won't

You don't decay during the preseason, unless you are Challenger.

they did mention "2014 Season" after all

Yea just go on the website they have all the info on the homepage with a FAQ section.

so does that mean u can avoid your ranked matches and prevent to lower ur mmr?

If I understand your question correctly, then yes - you do not need to play ranked, as your elo won't decay in the pre-season, UNLESS You are CHALLENGER tier.

Well if you play now you can just continue rising and it will be easier to be placed higher next season.

ohhhhh..ahaha now i get it..xD well i am stuck at silver 5 on promotion series..xP well i guess i'll avoid it since it doesnt change much..xD
