The best hack I've ever seen
Howdy, MPGH. I'd like to share a story with you all today about the best hack/exploit I've ever encountered as a Garry's Mod server owner.
On an afternoon a few weeks ago me and about 40 players were online, everything was calm and not to many reports were coming into the admin chat. I think I was basing with a buddy of mine when the admin chat started getting filled with people claiming that their props disappeared and then they died. I'm not bullshitting you.
After about 30 minutes of people yelling the same thing an administrator put in the admin chat that he was sitting in his base when the props blocking his door (fading door) suddenly vanished and he died. We thought it was admin abuse until that report from the admin, you see on my server staff members can delete props of other staff members however admins can't delete props of other admins and I was the only one higher then admin on.
I did some spectating to random players when I finally caught something really suspicious. There was a single player by the name of "Shock" and he had a camera out. The reason this wasn't right is because cameras are blocked. You don't spawn with them and the only way to get one is by being a superadmin and giving yourself one. I observed him for a while and I saw something that explained the whole thing. He walked up to the house of a random player, aimed his camera at the door, took a picture and the props he was aiming at disappeared and the player died of "trigger_hurt".
I froze Shock and teleported him on the roof with me, I tried to get an answer out of him as to how he did it but he refused to respond. He just wrote "lol you don't have the skill" in chat and disconnected. I banned his steamid and never saw anything like that again. I don't assume any of you know what he did because me and a bunch of other friends who all know lua have been trying to figure it out but we have nothing.
