@Botmaker Im actually interested so, do tell, why do you use Euphoria vs something like C?
@Botmaker I am working on making a clientless rotmg in java right now with Phoenix.

@Trollaux
Didn't you succeed at this?

Yes but I don't use a client so I don't have it relaying back to the server "No... I'm over here not there."
But if I were to edit the packet using RR, shouldn't that work? Unless it is contradictory with another packet that sends the server my position?

You can't run RR without also running the .swf client. That is what @Trollaux is telling you, his (I'm assuming) java proxy is closer to what the spam bots you see in the Nexus run, they never interact with an actual game client (.swf file) - they connect to the game differently than what you're working with.

As long as you're seeing the graphical client w/ RR, what you're trying to do is going to cause disconnection issues because you'll basically be telling the server you're in two conflicting coords, and it'll kick you.

Thank you for clearing this up, although I had already stated it in less detail.
I don't use RR I made my own as of a week ago and its still in progress. Only like 12 packets are fully implemented and the client is pretty crude as well.

If you are really going to get into hacking the game with packets I would advise updating botmakers proxy real quick (Takes 15 minutes MAX, there is plenty of information out there that can make it take much less time) and jot down everything that happens from the second your character gets in the nexus then replicate that.

I'll try that. But if there is something like that out there, why wont you use it instead of making a new one?
Yeah, I understand that. But what else way of telling the server where I am does the client have, other than the MOVE packet? I am directly editing the information of the packet the client sends, so it should work.

client sends MOVE -> Edit the coord using RR -> server

Only thing I can think of is the client kicking me because it thinks it is somewhere else?

Ps. I have also tried making RR clientless, currently stuck on the PONG packet, even though I'm not really spending much time on it.

Just ping/pong back to the server so they know you are still connected.

I made my own proxy as stated before.
