Name Changer- Easy Tutorial

I realized most of the name changers weren't working, so I decided to share the process for changing it yourself.

Please be aware that this only takes effect in your current session, so you will lose the changed name when you close out of Call of Duty: Ghosts.

1.)You first need to open cheatengine, or download it if you haven't already.
2.) Open Call of Duty: Ghosts, then go to online so you can see your name on the right with your level and what-not.
3.) Attach Cheatengine to the process "iw6mp64_ship.exe"
4.) Set the Value Type in Cheatengine to String.
5.) Put your name into the value/search box,(Case Sensitive by default) then press first scan.
6.) The amount of addresses on the left will vary; just press (ctrl+a) to highlight all of the addresses, then click the red arrow to move them down to be edited.
7.) You will again select all addresses in the address list this time, then right click any of the highlighted addresses.
8.) Go to Change Record>value. You can set it to anything you want



If you do a little searching around mpgh, you can also find a list of characters for xbox symbols in your name.
Also note: After you change your name once, some of the addresses will change to something that doesn't match your actual name. If you want to change your name a second time, simply delete any addresses that do not match your current name, then follow steps 7 & 8

i don't really get the purpose of doing that. you are able to change your name via steam.

Does this work like a name FAKER?
Meaning if someone wants to look you up to report you (for example)
They wont be able to find you because of this?
Im asuming this fakes it, otherwise I wouldn't really see the use of this.

That seems to happen for me sometimes when I use strange or uncommon characters, but not often.
