32 bit windows 7 ultimate only took me 30-45 minutes on a clean install

Flash Drives are read as fast, but tended to be limited on their speeds.
With USB 3.0 you can transfer 200 (The USB will limited half of it so you will only get 100MBps) MBps.
With a optical Drive you can read any where from 200-500 MBps, it can be even faster depending on the SATA type and drive you have.

I can not agree with these numbers in actual use, but ok they sound about right. My question was not really serious, a lot of computers do not even have an optical drive, and using an USB is far more convenient than burning a CD, and the time is really not that different... so there is no real reason to complain about it

Well, what I gave was a based estimate, I just did some googling and that was pretty much that came up.
