Help using Master Yi?

I started playing LoL about 2 days ago, and I've been improving heaps.

I bought Master Yi by mistake.. I couldn't contain my impatience to save up for Yasuo and bought him, just because his AD was high.

I'm having trouble getting champion kills with him. Especially at the beginning, he's super weak.. And in the stats it says he has a high damage. Bull shit? He deals less damage than Yasuo and he has a lower AD stat than Yi.
I need help on how to use Yi efficiently. I usually take mid alone.

he's good for jungle or top I think. If you're jungle and you're going to gank then use Q to get to them and then AA till you kill.Same on top.Or if you want to harass use Q on minion and it should also hit enemy champ.

I see. Also, do you happen to know what the best combo for him is (for enemy champs)? I commonly use "R", then immediately "E", then I use "Q" on a champ.. That never kills a full health champ, but if he's down to mid health, that's when I finish him off.

A master yi should be able to 1v1 nearly everyone if you go glass cannon build.

I've never tried Blade of the Ruined King, Statik Shiv, Infinity, Youmumu and last whisper. I'll definitely try those.
No phantom dancers? Usually I buy Bloodthirster and Phantom Dancer.. They work super well.

Nah people used to build 2 phantom dancers and 4 bloodthirstiers like a long time ago.

People don't use it anymore? How come?
Anyways I will use that later when I play Yi again. I'm currently trying out Yasuo and Ezreal.

It's just not as good anymore.

If you say master y does low dps, you're doing something wrong.
He aint viable cause no cc, lack of escape, and fight control.
But he can still 1v1 anyone, splitpush, and a good jungler thanks to Q.

About build go for; Static Shiv, Trinity, BT, ASpeed Boots, GA, IEdge.
Late game, sell Static and buy Phantom.

To get kills, simply don't start the fights, or you will get killed whithin 5secs~, wait for your tank/initiator to start the fight, wait 3-5secs and then focus their apdc or adc, R-E-Q-AA-AA-AA-Q-AA until you're done.

AA - Auto Attack.

For masteries, if you're jungle take 9-21-0, if you're toplane 21-9-0, runes can be standard AD/LSteal runes.
