Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan)
Just watched all 25 episodes on CrunchyRoll. I haven't watched many animes, but I got've to say, this one blew my mind with its concept and fast-paced action. Story-line was solid, there were some holes in the beginning but they were filled in later on.

I heard about there being an additional 26th episode but I couldn't find it/forgot what it was called.

Now that I finished the season.. I don't know what to live for anymore.

Someone have a good anime to watch? (I heard about Sword Art being really good, haven't seen it yet).

Heard there might be a 2nd season (most likely) and hopefully they do make one.

Anyone watch this anime yet?

You don't know what to live for? Really, over an anime? Man up!
Anime recommendations? Gintama is my favorite and it's hilarious, if you want to see something similar to SnK check out Gantz and Claymore. Sword Art Online is pretty bad. It has a really nice start but it blows it after a few episodes.

The sales for the manga and the anime is unbelievably high, the problem is it needs more material. You see, anime is usually adapted from manga (Japanese comics) so the mangaka (manga creator) needs to draw more. The next season is probably coming out spring season. The anime is really popular so almost everyone in this section has watched it. If you search Attack on Titan or Shingeki no Kyojin you'll see quite a few threads about it.

I was kidding about the 'I don't know what to live for' part lol. I just hate that empty feeling when you watch a new show and then when you finish it, it just feels so weird (if you know what I mean). I'll look into those shows, thanks for the recommendations.
Humm.... check out Fate/Zero, Kara No Kyoukai, or Hellsing ultimate
hi welcome to the world of anime... most anime do that u just gotta look for something that appeals to ya
Be careful, this section is full of elitists, tread lightly.

Anyways, Shingeki was great, really good example of a Shonen, done really well. I can't wait for it to start back up again.

And that extra episode is probably the OVA, "Ilse's Notebook". I downloaded it from some dude's link on reddit, so I can't link but I'm sure you can find it easily.

Anyways, enjoy the series. Try "Sword Art Online" or "Gurren Lagann" if you want more good short Shonen.

Uh.......not really "elitist" here.....

SAO has gotten a ton of flak for it's poor story choices. That's really the general opinion of anime watchers but mmk, take offense.
--------------------------------

personally if you liked shingeki I'd go for Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, or Fate/Zero.
If he liked AoT he will 9.9/10 like SAO.

Thanks for proving my point though, you even try to shit on a recommendation, lol.

Eh. SnK is a lot different than SAO. Though they both had a ton of overhype, I don't see the actual correlation between the two.

:/ SAO is also infamous in the anime community atm, since the rabid SAO fans keep hating on the rabid SnK fans.
(something about SAO fans realizing they aren't the hyped anime anymore).

They're both action packed Shonen's with enthusiastic main characters that tend to get protagonist power a lot? They're both 25 episodes?

The only reason I would put SnK higher is because there's more lore/mystery in the series and it's probably going to get fleshed out more.

That's a loooot of shonen though.

SAO doesn't get "fleshed out" tbh, it just enters new games over and over.

I didn't say it did, I said I like Shingeki more because it does/will. :S
Arguably only the 1st season is the only real thing worth watching in SAO. After Kirito leaves SAO, it gets kinda boring/stale. However I really, really enjoyed that one fight between Kirito and that one boss from the enemy faction. (can't remember his name)
I personally like Kuroko's basket, Sword Art, Hamatora and Nagi no asukara. (Only suggested animes on chrunchyroll)
