I beg to differ. Just not a lot of attention on it.
I used to have a magenta crystal 'hack' and an afk rakghoul farming 'hack' for the event back in the day.

Just got back into the game, I'm sure I'll find something again.
If you really want to come up with some real stuff, get into WPE packet editing. I'm sure you can come up with some crazy 0day stuff and break the game. But if you do... keep it private, don't tell anyone.
EA/Bioware whoever is watching over this game doesn't have a proper warden setup. You can pretty much do anything to this game as the devs are trying to keep the game stable and running never mind implementing security. It is only because the lack of interest of 'swtor hackers' in the community that makes the game seem 'secure'.
tl;dr: Don't be afraid to explore some hacks of your own, and keep them private. I know I will.
