RAM HELP

a couple of months ago i bough parts for a pc but i never built it and a week ago ibought 2 Corsair Vengeance Pro DDR3 1600MHz 8GB
sticks and yesterday i got time to build it and when all of it was isntalled it sayd that only i had 8gb of ram and i put the ram in dimm_a1 and in dimm_a2 on asus maximus vi extreme mobo tell me what i should do

maybe one of the RAM is fried. Try putting one in. sees if it registers. Then take it out and use the other one.

track down the problem by putting each one of the sticks inside without the other one,and if the system wont boot with one inside ...that one is probably fried
