what are the best settings/guns/mode for a 2 vs 2 of friends

Ship/Egypt.

Any small map works really but these are my favorites.

Also I usually do m4a1-silver(any m4 works really) in 1v1/2v2.

100 or 40 kills/9 rounds; AWM/M4A1/AK-47 (it depends of what weapon you like and wich you use better); T.D./E.M./G.M.

It really depends on your play-style. A low kill/time limit (preferably the lowest because of such a small amount of people), and an assault rifle (M4 or AK, any variant) unless you're into rushing or stand-offs. Good maps for tiny-teams are Egypt and Ship, as previously suggested. If you're into challenges and more exciting play, Ghost Mode or SnD are your best bet. Again, low settings are preferable because of the amount of people.
