give me your source code and i will fix it
using this format to give source code:
[ C O D E ](PressEnter)
(YOUR SOURCE CODE IS HERE)
[ / C O D E ]
the >> [ C O D E ] , [ / C O D E ] remove space

thats what i usually use

i would do what loped said, the reason why it didnt work in .dll when u copied and pasted is because .dll's are setup differently then .exe's i guess lol idk how to explain it, look it up on google

boy does this look like a pain in the but lol. thanks for your help guys
@OP I see lots of "Press any key to continue..." -- you're calling system("PAUSE") ? Inside your main loop..

..so the program won't continue until you 'PRESS A KEY' (most importantly, the window has to have focus/be active) --> once your code throws up the pause(), the program pauses until you activate the program and press any key.

It's how you have your infinite loop set up..and how system("pause") is causing it to ...pause.

Post code please (almost always).

Solution: Get rid of the call to system("pause").

And if you don't want messages spammed constantly, don't put them inside the infinite loop. Or keep them in IF statements, so they only occur once in a while (ie. when user presses the key).

yea i was trying to figure out a way to get it to stop spamming the messages when i dont have a system("pause"); in it. when i run it without the pause, and without while(true) it runs through all the if statments and ends. not quite sure what to do there
Code:
		while (true)
		{

			 system("pause"); // <--here
			 cout << " \n";
		}

inside your loop you do 2 things 1) check for key-presses. 2) call system("pause");

and it won't loop again until a key is pressed.

It's only checking for key-presses for the first millisecond, then it's calling pause() and waiting for you to press a key to continue. Get rid of the call to pause.

alright i did that and it makes it alot nicer looking when you press one of the hot keys. still not sure how to make the window have focus like you said
Um...move the first 3 calls to cout to BEFORE the loop, so they only occur once.

the rest of the cout's only occur when a key is pressed.
?

So you should see the message telling which keys enable/disable it

then a message each time a key is pressed.

edit: looking at ur code again, you had

system("pause");
cout << " \n";

get rid of the call to cout also. Unless you want to spam a new-line to the prompt every time the loop executes.

alright i moved the first three couts to before the loop/while(TRUE) and got rid of the systempause and this happens the second i open the program
