As gigguk would say it's 30 wallpapers per second. 
Nonetheless, haven't really come across many sad anime that I felt sympathy towards other then the fact it was ending.

I don't really fancy sad animes, Saddest one I've seen so far would probable the wind rises (Kaze Tachinu)
i dont know why i got sad when i saw Steins;Gate
Maybe Elfen Lied. The music helps alot, but its really good, nevertheless.

Yeah idk how that happened.
Guessing you haven't seen Samurai X itself but rurouni kenshin. Kenshin is after his tragic past, while Samurai X is that story. If you've read the manga, the ending villain(enishi) is directly related to this movie, and to be honest it's pretty hard to understand motives or origins without that.
