I'm going to do the method again today to verify it's still working, i did it 2 days ago.

Hmmm... Just called up xbox and it seems like it is patched, this was the method.

1st. You call Xbox support

2nd. Say that your Xbox is making loud noises and is overheating bad and that you want to send it in for repairs but first want a
replacement item before you ship it
3rd. If done correctly and if you sounded stern they will place a hold of $14.95 on the card (It's safer to use prepaid incase they end up charging the full price in the future)
4th. By now you'll have your xbox.
5th. If not call a different represenative (Some are strict)

All people who purchased this was refunded as soon as i called up.
