have you downloaded a hack? have you tried reinstalling? what version of crossfire are you playing on?
Try changing your xtrap folder to Btrap then it should fix it, give it a go (u can locate teh xtrap folder in z8games folder)

Windows XP is no longer supported by Z8Games afaik.

Window XP is dead since April 8 so i dont think that CF will support it any more
