Aldnoah.Zero First Impressions

Only reason I took a look at this anime in the first place was because I needed something with explosions this season, and while I don't think the episode was superb, it looked really promising to be a top contender for one of the better anime's this season if the plot is any good. The animation was well done, and I liked the color palette used for the scenes, but it was quite hard for me to get a grasp on all the characters shown. I hope they don't turn out to be generic shonen protagonists and some main character deaths would be pretty nice so there's no plot armor surrounding the main cast but yeah, looks promising and had a good start. Though despite being a mecha anime, not much mecha seen in the first episode so I'm just withholding my opinion on the mech side of things. Might be something some people might want to keep an eye on if they have been waiting for a mech anime that delivers. Hopefully it doesn't suck pls.

The mecha part kinda threw me off here but its not that bad, I saw a bit of the episode.

I can't deal with these mecha shows unless the theme is dark.

Given that the PV showed what was basically a highschool drama, i'll pass.

When I saw that the creator of this was Urobuchi Gen, I'm really thinking that he won't let this anime be just a lighthearted action flick. That and that the other staff were quite impressive as well. I'm also hoping for a dark story line as well.

Well yeah, it's Urobutcher we're talking about. Whatever PV you watched is misleading, it's already showing how dark it is in the first episode. Give the first episode a watch.

I did, still nope. Again the animation/characters/theme really just aren't gonna cut it for me on this one.

I'm sure people will still enjoy it, but I'll pass on this. Same with Psycho-pass for me really.

Not the best Mech anime i seen,but it was a good 30 min of my life not wasted.

Dayumm, main character's cold hearted. I can see why the characters aren't so drawn out, they'll probably die before it's the next day anyways. Liking where this is going, doesn't seem like it'll be predictable either.
