Just because someone could have the username e.g. C453 doesn't mean that it really is C453 on MPGH. To double check, I suggest you to VM/PM the actual person

On the character select screen there's a button underneath your name that says Choose a Name. Click that and you can set it.

I dont have a character select screen :/ When i press Play the Game starts and i cant select a character

I have got the same problem with connection. it says that i need to choose name but i cant cause i cant get to character select. Any solutions ;o ?

Oh and to choose your name, once you press play, press O and back to menu or something, then choose a name there
