I don't know about xbox but I played with ps3
you can,my friend uses it,gotta have a wired controller and you just gotta look for a program that edits the movements into keystrokes,thats all you need,
it's free look it up on youtube.
I used pinnacle and definitely got an xbox and a ps3 controller to work. They suck compared to keyboard and mouse.... They aren't quick enough even with the sensitivity all the way up
The xbox controller has to be fully wired... no detachable cord... the button that turns it on looks for an xbox to sync with when its cordless but the corded ones work fine
