Gotta accept that you might get shot if you commit crimes, huh? You would think you Americans would have realised that by now, considering you're by far #1 when it comes to gun ownership.

I don't see a problem with owning guns, our nation gives us all a right to.

OT: Of course since a black person gets shot its gonna be all over everywhere, especially since it was the police.
I just don't understand why when a white person or other race gets shot and killed its rarely talked about.

I don't either, if you like putting yourself at risk. Here's a nice study published in the American Journal of Medicine, if you don't believe me.

I'm not quite sure when my data was collected or how encompassing it is, however even with those countries added USA dwarfs everyone.

I might have phrased myself poorly when I said getting shot or whatever, what I meant was that you're less safe with all the guns being present. Now whether gun ownership gets you shot, beaten up, non-fatally wounded, in the end you're worse off than if you had guns. If you want a study, go check the one I already linked previously:

There are definitely other factors at play here, but in the end you can find more than enough proof that a country as developed as the US would probably be better off with stricter gun control (the study linked is just one such case, use your google-fu for more).
