There are a quite a few good free VPNs you can find online.
I have a static Ip Does this Screw me over?
I got The New IP+CDKEY and i tested it on another banned server and I have access to that one now But the CCG servers I cannot get on still.... Anyone know whats up with it?
several things may have happened:
1) your IP AND GUID / Steam ID / possibly name were banned on that server.
2) when you bought new game but did NOT change IP/ name then your new GUID was banned again on that server. (to prevent exactly what you are doing.
to change an IP adress, doubtful you have an actual static IP, usually you have to pay extra for that (in USA anyhow) like a business account from So and so cable company.
usually you have the same IP address for a very long time, so for all intensive purposes its static (for 1-2-5 8 months) no telling its just when ever.
however just unpluging your router almost never changes your IP, dumb nub script kiddies think that. your ISP locks that given IP to your MAC ADDRESS.
usually the easiest, and fastest way to actually change your IP address is the following:
1) Go into your router settings, most routers have an option to clone mac address of the computer you are using, or to manually use a custom MAC ADDRESS it uses Hex so dont just thorw random letters and numbers in there.
I like to use BE EF on the end to make Beef hahah. or change a few around. I keep numbers numbers, and letters letters, within the Hex convention.
2) while your router is rebooting unplug your modem from the power (cable dsl, what ever it is you have) (some ISP use special modems that act like routers) if that is the case you bust configure it to passthru, so it is not routing, and acting more liek a bridge than a router. therefore seeing your computers mac address (may want to change your computer address. some clone / changer programs can help with that.
should be good to go< i would wait maybe 10 mins before hooking everything back up. I would also open cmd prompt and flush the dns and release the ip. then connect everything and renew it.
works 99% of the time. even if you have a static IP i bet it would change it since the mac address is changed. since that is how they know who that IP belongs to, otherwise they would need someway to know where to route that IP address lol.
