if it's throwing compiler errors it simply means you wrote it wrong
so you fix your source code so it actually makes sense..
If you can't fix your own compiler errors start over and get a book.
if you scroll down to where it says compiler log it tells you there error. We cant help you if you dont tell us the error its given you.
Are you really implying that you never got errors when supposedly writing programs in VB? Either way that is of no consequence. C++ is NOT VB. It is quite challenging. It isn't something that you could stumble through (and i dare say i could stumble through VB). You need a book or a good online tutorial, to at least get the basics and certain programming concepts. I can't pretend to know what VB is like, or your extent of knowledge in it, But really, don't try to jump right in, at least get the basics down.
Edit: As a side note, can i see these compile errors? And if you cant find them give me a screenshot, i'm curious...
