Java game

Soooo i made a game in java a couple months ago for fun, and decided to come back to it.
However, i need help with the program. It uses jframes, and i use arrays to print colors onto it(by making a value from 1-5 a color).
Recently, i decided to make it into sprites, but for some reason i cant do it.... can anyone help with this?..

I might be able to help you, but you'll need to explain it better, why can't you make it into sprites? what's happening wrong?
