It's not a photo manip, cos its not an actually photo but its pretty nice.

Nice, liken the effect around the guy. But the text reflection ruins the flow, its sand. The blurriness behind him should be straightened up a bit. And i like the use of contrast in the BG vs. Render. Also, get a border preferably. And yeah the blur on the RENDER is a pain in the eyes.

I don't get how sand can reflect the text..

Maybe the sun is from behind and the text gets a shadow? lol

u kinda messed up because it doesnt lok real

this is because the lighting is different for both images and by lighting, i also mean the hue of the lighting...

the anime image has a bright white tone to it, while the sandy background has a yellowish hue to is

to fix it, just put a warming photo filter for the anime image, and make sure u put it on clipping mask so that the photofilter only effects the anime and not the background as well

hmm well the render is blurry but i think you were going for that and its all just really fuzzy XD but thats what you were going for so my only problem is its big
