Well you are going to have to do some work to get it run on centOs as available sources aren't tailored to being run on linux. The changes required isn't that much. For those changes, @C453's mac tutorial should help (http://www.mpgh.net/forum/showthread.php?t=756039). The real work is getting a fairly recent build of mono for your linux distro. That too isn't very hard but requires some effort.

Thanks @nilly for the really useful post, I have the option of switching OS's, do you think there's a more optimal one to run the server on?

I guess the most optimal one would be the one that can run the server and uses the least amount of resources. I'm no Linux buff, so I don't really know which os that is. The os that I use for my server is Debian.

Btw, you manage to get it running on cent? Just curious if you had problems or not.
