"This match does not allow mods"

I've been editing .ini files in Grand Theft Auto IV/Common/Data

However, I cannot seem to join normal servers afterwards. I can only join servers where people have mods. I'm aware people use script mods which allow you to mod in the game undetected. Although is there anyway to edit system files and still be able to play in normal servers?

Or do I need to make a script? If so, can somebody make a script where you can edit anything and still be able to join normal servers? It's really frustrating because there aren't enough modded servers.

The only script mods I'm aware of that work in non-modded servers are SCO mods.

ASI mods can be undetectable as well. I'm sure you know already that people have managed to get SNT to work in non-modded servers for quite some time now. I'm just trying to figure out how to do it for all mods :/

The reason scripts go undetected is because they are injected into the game using either "scripthook" or ".netscripthook" or simply by replacing the "network_script" file with .sco mods.

But.....there seems to be no way to edit gaming files without being thrown into modded servers.

i've seen SCO mods add this native "THIS_SCRIPT_IS_SAFE_FOR_NETWORK_GAME();". I always been able to join non-modded servers with SNT, not sure why...

Use plugins folder for your .asi's => C:\..\Rockstar Games\GTA IV\scripts
Use scripts folder for your .net.dll's => C:\..\Rockstar Games\GTA IV\plugins
