[Help] New Computer...

So I'm getting this big nerdy set up for Christmas... And I am saving up for some of it.

I want to buy a computer, I'm not sure what I should look into or whether I should build my own. I don't know much about it, other than building your own can be cheaper with better specs.
If someone could help me or give suggestions, it'd be great.

Oh and my budget is 500-600$. I already have a nice monitor. (But two would be dope).

I suggest you should buy complete pack. Building own PC will be pain in the ass if you don't know what you are doing.

ahm i built this config, this is pretty solid,pirate the OS or buy it cheaply on ebay.

That really isn't a lot of cash if you plan to do some higher end gaming. If you are okay with turning down the settings a little and getting upgrades with time it will be good enough though. So do you want to get a pc by christmas or would you be okay with maybe saving up so you have atleast 1k in the bank?

Also what do you plan to do?
Gaming, video editing, photoshop etc

Well I already do Photoshop on my little laptop. And maybe some gaming but not huge games if you know what I mean. Also, video editing yes. Which I also do some on my laptop.

build your own pc. im assuming you're not going to throw out ur current one so if you get confused you can google.

Building a PC is basically working with Legos

Building a PC although it seems like a huge task, is quite small. It's fairly easy. As for your budget that will actually get you a pretty decent rig, pm me if you have any questions or just want some parts list ideas, I do not mind I build pcs for extra cash as a hobby.
