Compressing your Hard-drive to save space = DO NOT DO!
Earlier today I was looking for a way to make a seperate partion on my stupid 150gb hard drive... and I came across "Compress partion to save space" I thought... YEAH! I'll do that and save space to open a new partion...
Little did I know that it would compress bootmgr and completely f*ck my computer up!
So, having done a routine full system scan before bed... I let my computer restart and boom
so this came up... naturally thinking it was an error I just did as it said...
CTRL+ALT+DEL
Again it came up.. did it again.. and it came up again...
At this point I thought I'd phucked my pc up.. so I was thinking... how am I gunna get that anime porn folder?
Luckily my brother is a IT Technician and happened to have a Windows BOOT usb just laying on the desk in his room...
I wacked it into my machine, ran a system restore... and that didn't fix it... so I thought.. what would I do if it was someone else asking?
"ASK GOOGLE" I though.. so a quick google came to this:
Insert the installation DVD in your system.
Click Repair your computer.
Then click on Load Driver.
Go to Computer.
Right click on the partition you previously compressed and choose Properties.
Then uncheck "Compress drive to increase space available".
Then close all windows to restart the computer.
I did as it said.. and now it's working THANK F*CK!
So, note to self - DO NOT F*CK WITH COMPUTERS, YOU = SPECIAL NEEDS, COMPUTER = SPECIAL MACHINE, DO NOT MIX!
TL;DR - I'm Retarded, Computers are BAD at explaining things!
Thanks for reading story... I know it needed more dragons...
