multilevel pointer
I have this pointer:

"trove.exe"+00A2B6A4 Offsets: 18, 4

all i want to do is creating a programm with microsoft visual basic 2010 express that has a textbox and a button, which will set the value (of the address the pointer is currently pointing at) to what is written in the text box as soon as the button is pressed.

This is what i currently have: http://i.imgur.com/9qS9QG3.png

I have inserted that ReadWriteMemory.vb thing and I can run the program, but the value is not changing, what do I do wrong?

1. First of all there is no need to repeat the arguments of the function: WriteDMAInteger("Trove", &HA2B6A4, {&F18, &H4}, TextBox1.Text, 2, 4)
2. You must use ex.Message to describe the error
3. Write here the module "ReadWriteMemory"

1. now nothing works.
2. whats that? (I have no idea of vb, just started with it)
3.

Wait....So you're saying you just started with VB and now trying to hack a game.

Wow. Dont do that.

What he means by ex.Message, is that you need to catch a exception to see what the error is. Because you need the error
to know what you did wrong.

I am not new to hacking, only new to creating trainers. All i want to do is to create a trainer for this single thing cuz i don't like the trainer generator inside CheatEngine, maybe you can do me a favor and just tell me what i have to put in there?

I cannot help you in Visual Basic. In my opinion, that's the worst language ever.

I can just say, atleast learn the basics about creating a GUI and interacting with it. Then learn other basic concepts. Then create a trainer.

Do NOT start with programming hacks knowing nothing.
well, thats probably my big mistkae. i started hacking long ago and teached everything myself, I can do alot of stuff with cheat engine (thats where i got the pointer) but I can't do anything else (scripts ect) currently learing C++, but still beginner...

Yeah, that's good that you're learning C++.

A good exercise (when you're better) is create your own Memory Class. It's very great to understand how it works. If you successfully created your custom Memory Class in C++. You're ready to create any hack

whats a memory module?

Sorry, my fault.
Memory Class if that's better.

That is exacly what Raydenman wanted you to post here. So he could read it.

It's a class which handles all memory stuff for you. With only one or two lines of code.

Here's a function that for example reads the memory which is in a memory class.

Code:
template <class T>
	T Read(int totalOffsets, int baseAddress, int offsets[]) {
		T buffer;
		int newPtr = findPtrAddress(totalOffsets, baseAddress, offsets);

		bool readMem1 = ReadProcessMemory(_hProcSnap, (LPCVOID)newPtr, &buffer, sizeof(T), NULL);
		_checkError(readMem1, baseAddress, totalOffsets, offsets, Memory::READ);

		return buffer;
	}
And you can just type:

Code:
float x = Mem.Read<float>(1, moduleBaseAddress + playerBase, xOffsets);
Anyways, continue learning and DONT give up. You'll get there
I still have alot to learn aswell.

haha i still don't understand anything but ill probably understand as soon as i get there with the coding tutorials :P
Try this memory module: http://www.mpgh.net/forum/showthread...ghlight=memory
And try this function:
Code:
Public Function BaseProcessAddress(ByVal GameProc As String) As Integer
        Try
            If Process.GetProcessesByName(GameProc).Length <> 0 Then
                For Each [Mod] As ProcessModule In Process.GetProcessesByName(GameProc)(0).Modules
                    If [Mod].ModuleName = GameProc Then
                        Return [Mod].BaseAddress.ToInt32()
                    End If
                Next
                Return 0
            Else
                Return 0
            End If
        Catch
            Return 0
        End Try
    End Function

    Public Function Pointer(ByVal [Module] As String, ByVal Pointers As Integer()) As Integer
        Dim BaseAddress As Integer
        BaseAddress = BaseProcessAddress([Module]) + Pointers(0)
        Dim RealAddress As Integer
        RealAddress = ReadMemory(Of Integer)((BaseAddress) + Pointers(1))
        Dim i As Integer = 2
        Do While i <> Pointers.Length - 2
            RealAddress = ReadMemory(Of Integer)((RealAddress) + Pointers(i))
            i += 1

        Return RealAddress

thanks, but as i said I don't understna danything of this, gotta keep watching the C++ tutorials...
