What IDE are you using?
Man I had not programmed with C++ in years, I forgot a lot of my DirectX and basic of C++ knowlegde.
Look like I would be spending a couple of months recovering what I forgot. I feel like getting back into programming/hacking.
So what IDE and DirectX verison are you using right now.

Visual Studio 2013, switched from Code::Blocks since it fucked up so many things for me xD

I always used Visual C++ 2008 Express edition.
Lately i've been prefering Visual Studio 2013 Ultimate.
Either way, both great to develop
