help with badges

hey erm see the mod badges iv tryed puting them in were u say and it dosnt work and trust me iv tried alot of times and diff ways for last 2 or 3 month and its geting on my nerve now how do i do it ? it dosnt work the way everyone says

Make a badge that is the same size of the original badge.
Don't make it bigger.
Then edit it. Put style of what you want.
Save it as (.Tga)
Then make sure its named same as the original badge.
IT SHOULD OVERWRITE SOMETHING OR ITS NOT WORKING!

Yeah i agree with pop do that otherwise use the search button there is more threads about people with problems than actual mods
