It can visually detect pixel colors to try to see red vs black on a certain area of the screen, and then run the numbers it calculates through the algorithm to decide to bet, and have a predetermined position to put in your response. The system would be extremely fragile (needs to operate under the right conditions) but it would be the fastest and simplest to make, even a decent macro script program could do it.
Anything else would scanning memory / packets to determine the current state of the game and be a lot more robust, but would take a lot longer to develop.
Ideally, the best method to solving your roulette bot issue is just to crack the software to remove the hourly limitation. Usually they aren't going to be well protected from hacking and can be removed with minimal effort.
