how does the whole rep system work?

as the title says im just wondering how the whole rep thing works thanks for your help!!!

More posts, older join date, and higher rep lets you give more rep.

The more rep you have, the greater rep power you have. Your rep power is the amount of rep you can give a person when you rep one of their posts.

Anyone can give rep to people but it's their rep power that will affect their rep count

It's easier to mention a moderator/staff member when you want a thread to be closed. For General you can call upon @arunforce or @Boombox.
