newbie does basic smudge

Hello, my name is john and i just started with photoshop, here is my first background/signature that i ever created.
what do you think, give me some feedback

Well you have a grasp on how layers work. The colors really don't mix well with the chick. The background flows pretty cool though.

Thanks, i went for the background because it looks so damn nice

There's some nasty warping on the right side arm.

I believe I agree
But in some places it's very very choppy and not going well with the flow but it is decent piece
