A nub here, just wanted to know when this "tradition ban" thing started and why do ppl wanna get a temp ban on their bdays, post counts..ect?

Because people want to make a thread in this section to get noticed.

The first post ban is at 1337, then at 2000 and then pretty much every 1000.

It's tradition. There doesn't have to be a reason to do it but yeh I guess attention has something to do with it.
