Best way to learn to code?
I am and have been wanting to learn to code. If you guys could tell me the best way to learn code in your opinion I would really appreciate it. I don't want any shortcut routes. I just want to fully understand what I am doing. Thank you in advance.
Watch videos -> Read books -> Experiment -> fail -> Experiment -> fail -> Experiment -> success -> continue reading/learning
The best way is to have a goal you want to achieve. Example make CS:GO hacks. If you just hop into some C++ lessons, you might not be motivated to learn them

Stroustrup books are very good, which is expected of the language creator. Though if you have a little experience I'd recommend C++ Primer(not to confuse with C++ Primer Plus), which is my personal favorite, or Accelerated C++. Primer is large, but the level of detail the book gives insight to is immense.

Here is The Definitive C++ Book Guide and List

An advantage of books(well, good books at least), in my opinion, is that they teach the right way to use the language, a good design, good practices...

I suggest you look at C++ references when you need to, and you will

Hi, I read on another forum(not going to link as its against the rules) that fleets videos are not the best source and really is just copy and paste of someone elses code. not sure if its reliable or not but make sure to not copy and paste the codes he provides or you can expect a ban as many people done it and got banned. But anyway good luck on coding hope you do well
