Have you ever thought of that snakes are actually just tails with faces?

No because the entire entity of a snake is not considered a tail. The tail is considered the endpoint, usually significant from the rest of the body, for example, the rattlesnake. The whole body doesn't rattle, only the tail.

Guess you didn't get the reference, but they're very useful for the eco-system, primarily for balancing the population of rodents like mice and other small citters so they don't get the chance to blitzkrieg human habitats. They normally piss off until Aussies like to poke them with sticks and broadcast it on Animal Planet.
