so has anyone here attempted to make a registry cleaner?

if so..advice /

im starting on one and if youve got any tips then they would be appreciated

And it will be VERy hard to make! If you screw it up you may need to reformat ur pc :/

What a registry cleaner does is check if the registry is still used.

Because if you uninstall a program the registry stays most of the time.

So basicaly you need to know what programs are installed and what registries exist and then compare to see what registries can be deleted.

It will be a lot of work though.

Yeah and if you fail it will be fucked

well you just need a gigant list of registery from programs and check if the program is still installed (wich is kinda hard if it isnt installed at the default location and the program doesnt has a registery value for that)

You want my advice. Its dont. Id export a copy of your whole registry and save it to a usb for a back up. Than pick up a Livecd copy of linux just in case you need to reimport it into your MS OS.

If I was you. I wouldn't touch your registry. One mistake, and your whole computer can be screwed.
