is there a possible way to window mode crossfire?

I don't there is a way to window mode crossfire when in a game.

You can change cF to window mode in lobby etc via Settings/Options iG.(In Game)

Yes. You can have windowed Crossfire. But you have to go to settings in crossfire. And look for it.
