Star Wars: Battlefront Alpha!
Just got into the first wave of the alpha, no more invites coming!
Anyone else lucky enough to get in, or does everyone think this will be a shitty game?
If you got in, message me and we'll play together!
didn't sign up for one tbh.
let us know how it is man!

Will do! I am so excited for this game, and to be lucky enough to get into the alpha... Got work off tomorrow when it becomes available lol!
When will they be giving out more keys? I am not really a star wars fan (and by that I mean I hate it) but the game itself looks good.

Not a huge star wars fan myself, but as you said game looks really good!
I don't think they will be sending anymore as the closed alpha will end the 6th july. You had to be batshit lucky to get it I guess
I should have gotten in, I got every battlefield since 2 at launch, didn't know you could sign up for alpha. Tell us how it is after it's over.

Battlefront has none of Battlefield’s deeper features such as squads, classes and highly customisable load-outs.
“We have a strong legacy with Battlefield, but we did not want this to be a battlefield game – we wanted it to have a heart and soul of its own. We came at it from a very different angle. We know that the core audience of a game like this is different to the Battlefield audience. There’s a crossover, but Star Wars fans expect a Star Wars game, not a Battlefield game. We looked at what Star Wars stands for, rather than asking how can we tweak Battlefield to be something else.
“And, actually, we’ve received criticism both for not being enough like Battlefield and for being too much like Battlefield. We’ve had to accept the fact that people will be upset with us until they get to play it. And when people did play it at E3 almost all the negativity went away. We stayed true to what we believed in, and when people saw it, they got it, they agreed that this is a game on its own, it is not Battlefield, and they liked it.”

The problem other Star Wars games have had is that they’ve tried to copy the output of Star Wars rather than understanding the core of what makes the movies. The Battlefront development team has tried to find the soul of Star Wars. There’s more behind it than just copying.
that's also a quote taken from the article.
star wars games are not a single genre/play style. dice is using the frostbite 3 engine to build this game, the same engine they used for bf4. also it's not called sw:bf3, but sw:bf. it's clearly not going to keep with what made sw:bf2 great. dice is literally trying to make a sci-fi battlefield.

But you implied that they are trying to create one, when they already have, is what I'm saying.
