I need help

I need help
well i have no idea what to do so i am going to try to explain this as well as i can.

Yesterday i got home from school and i went to sign on my computor. when i got to log in screen to get on to the desktop. When i got there i just got a black screen with a mouse pointer on it. So i went to safe mode to do a system restore and this poped up when i opened up system restore.

I am still in safe mode with networking so i can go on the internet but i have no way to play games or anything so if any can help plz help me.

Note: i can not install programs and have the ability to run them. Why idk my uncle was going to give me a program to fix it but in safe mode i can not run it. Thanks in advance if you can help me.

Honestly, I've got no idea, never had that problem. Shouldn't be that hard to find out the problem. Probably better off posting this on Yahoo answers.

Or you can just reformat.

Virus!

You can run a computer scan on safe mode ... do that

if it doesnt work you have to reinstall windows like vista i reinstalled it and it made a folder called windows old for me with all my apps and desktop items etc

try computer scan

when u say windows 7, u mean rebooting the OS with a windows 7 disk?

I am not gonna pay for win7 and i have no disks to reformat my comp :/
