The study is a fake, Its based on the fact that a majority of the words you are using are 4 to 5 letter words, thus scrambling the middle letters only produces one or two possible combinations, thus making it easy to figure out what you were trying to say. This does not work however for much larger words, if you were to try this with a large text filled with a lot of technical terminology it wouldn't work at all.
