I skipped it as well, dunno why but I did. I plan on watching it though as well as The Garden Of Words sometime in the coming weeks.
It's actually one of the few anime movies I never bothered with, which is surprising considering I've watched most of what this studio/director put out.
So I watched it today.
It's hard to say how much I enjoyed and didn't enjoy this film. Of course, everything this studio produces practically oozes charm. Even when almost nothing was happening I still enjoyed it. The "will she" moments of the romance were entertaining, especially given how vague and how time travel came into play so often.
But, this movie is sad.
It's undoubtedly one of the sadder movies I've watched and with modern time-travel series by comparison, it's needlessly so. Literally everything she does fucks up her life to such a higher degree than the original problem it seems as if she faces the bad "time travel paradox", even the ending isn't that great compared to her outcome without it.
I dunno, I liked it a lot(as with all their movies), but it's just so hard for me to enjoy the latter half of the movie when it's so goddamn depressing.
:/ whatcha guys think about this one?

It was a great movie. The characters, voice actors, soundtrack etc were all great. The ending gave some feels.
Dunno if you're interested but I wrote a review back in June on this site. Just scroll down a bit and you'll see my review.
She can leap through me alright.

Has anyone watch the live action movie from 2010? I was thinking about it but I'm not completely sure. Never watched a live action version of an anime except for DB: Evolution, and that was horrid.
ye that director Mamaru Hosada is really coming up i cant wait to see the amazing stuff he will produce in the future and of course Shinkai aswell, 2 amazing directors both will take the throne that Miyazaki left behind ...
this is a signature
I watched it quite a while ago and yesterday when I started watching Steins;Gate I found a reference to this there, haha
Is this worth the watch? I've been looking for a good starting point in anime movies. 5 cm/s was kind of a disappointment for me.
It's worth the watch. When we're talking anime movies the top-tier ones are made by Makoto Shinkai and Hayao Miyazaki.
