Introduction
Hello, everyone! As some of you still do not know what is an Official Middleman, etc, I have decided to make this thread for clarifying purposes. Please make sure to read it until the end so that you do not stay with any unnecessary doubts in your mind about it!
Official Middlemen & Related Matters
An Official Middleman, (
), is a person whose duty is to moderate a trade or any other kind of deal between two users in order to prevent them both from being scammed.Is the usage of an Official Middleman free of charge or do I have to pay a fee?
No, you do NOT have to pay a fee to be able to use an Official Middleman. Unlike on some other forums, MPGH's Official Middlemen do not charge any fee for their services. You might be wondering why they do not do so, well, they do not do so because if they charged a fee for their services, that would become a restriction for the users that could not pay it, meaning some of them would not use an Official Middleman and would most likely be consequently scammed, which is precisely what the Official Middlemen do not want to happen.

I have a friend in whom I trust a lot and as such, I would like him to ‘MM’ my trade. Is he allowed to do so?
No, he is not allowed to ‘MM’ your trade just like you are not allowed to request him to do so. There was a time when the usage of Unofficial Middlemen was allowed but since such a thing only resulted in users being scammed, now the usage of Unofficial Middlemen is strictly prohibited and as such, anyone trying to use an Official Middleman or acting like one will be permanently banned.
Are there currently any Official Middlemen's impersonators? If so, what I can do to avoid being scammed by any of them?
Yes, there are currently a few Official Middlemen's impersonators, however, there are also a few safety procedures which you can follow in order for you to prevent yourself from being scammed by any of them. They are the following:
1. Make sure to always ask the Official Middleman who you are talking and/or dealing with to send you a confirmation PM (private message) or to post a confirmation VM (visitor message) on your Visitor Wall so that you can confirm if you are indeed talking and/or dealing with an Official Middleman and not with an impersonator.
2. Make sure to always check this List of Middleman Impersonations made by [MPGH]Hugo Boss, which is where the Skype IDs of all the Official Middlemen's impersonators that were caught until now are listed on.
3. Make sure to always check whether the user you are dealing with is blacklisted* or not by always checking the Blacklisted Users List, which is where all the current Blacklisted Users are listed on.
4. Make sure to always use an Official Middleman, even if the user who you are dealing with is trusted! This applies to Donators, News FO Members, (etc) as well. Also, note that users with low post counts tend to be scammers so please do use an Official Middleman and in case you do not (highly not advised), then please be careful!
*Blacklisted users are users that attempted to scam other users or scammed other users but then refunded him/them and received a temporarily/permanent blacklist as a punishment. If any blacklisted user attempts to make a trade or any other kind of deal with you, please make sure to report him/her here as blacklisted users are NOT allowed to practice any kind of deal.
I have been scammed / Someone just attempted to scam me. What should I do?
If you have been scammed, then you may make a scam report here with the following:
1. Correct grammar.
2. Username of the person being accused.
3.Thread link (if applicable).
4. Accused's Profile link.
5. Accused's Skype profile.
6. Skype Conversation (FULL details).
7. Transaction made (proof of payment).
8. Proof of Recovery/Chargeback (if applicable).
9. Additional Information.
If someone has attempted to scam you, then you may make a scam report here with the following:
1. Correct grammar.
2. Username of the person being accused.
3.Thread link (if applicable).
4. Accused's Profile link.
5. Accused's Skype profile.
6. Skype Conversation (FULL details).
7. Additional Information.
If you suspect a user of being a scammer/impersonator/ban evader, then you may make a scam report/IP check request thread (ONLY if you have strong suspicions) here with the following:
1. Reason(s) why you think that user might be/is a scammer/impersonator/ban evader.
2. Accused's MPGH username (+ link to profile).
WARNING: Making false scam reports will result in a permanent ban. You have been warned.
I scammed a user but as I decided to repair my mistake, I have refunded him/her. Can I do anything to be unbanned? If so, what can I do?
Yes, you can. You have make a staff dispute here and right after, ask the user who you refunded to make a post himself/herself stating that he/she has been refunded. Once the user who you scammed has made that specific post, a Global Moderator+ will unban you and blacklist you for a specific amount of time according to his and the Official Middlemen's opinions.
